Dressed Up and Ready

OK, so I spent almost $200 having the car completely detailed in side and out. Normally, I clean a car myself, but I think it is worth the investment once or twice a year to keep a thick coat of wax on the paint. Also, I wanted to make sure the leather was treated. It takes a good four to five hours, so it is worth the money. The car looks GREAT! These pictures don't fully do it justice, but I will take more...

American Luxury

This 92 Lincoln embodies everything both right and wrong about the classic American luxury cruiser. It is a large car with plush leather seating and a smooth, yacht like ride. It also has those old features like lighted key-hole and keypad on the driver door and a large emblem sticking out at the edge of the hood. Driving this is like going back in time although this really isn't such an old car. It represents the transition that the American companies tried but ultimately have been unable to convince people they have made into more economical and reliable transportation.

This car, one of under 800 ever made over 2 years, features suicide doors and every conceivable option for the time including memory power seats. Notice the stainless steel roof and amazing detail work. This car is easily worth over $100,000.

Dad's Mitsubishi Eclipse

I'm here in Denver visiting my father. We went for a ride yesterday to visit Garden of the Gods in my father's new Mitsubishi Eclipse. I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical about the "Mitsu" but what a great car to drive. It is very easy to maneuver, and the convertible is easy and lots of fun! This is also the first time I have tried an auto-stick transmission, and it isn't so bad either. I know this is my first update to this blog in a while, and I am going to try to be better about it moving forward. Thanks!
